The Hursts are Assembly of God missionaries who have served in Central and West Africa since 1992. They currently live in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Pat’s ministry emphasis is in the area of pastoral and leadership training, mainly through Bible school teaching and curriculum development. Pat is passionate about training pastors in how to live out their calling and how to lead their members in modeling and promoting spiritual transformation. In January 2011, his responsibilities were expanded as he was appointed Central Africa AG Field Director, in addition to continuing his teaching and training ministry.
Suzanne is a registered nurse who works with local churches on community development and health issues such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, and the prevention of childhood illnesses. Along with a missionary colleague, she has developed a Bible school course on transformational development that she teaches in Bible schools around the region.
Pat and Suzanne have 3 children: Benjamin, who is currently studying at Evangel University in Springfield, MO, Abigail, who is a senior in high school, and Emily who is a sophomore. Both girls attend the American International School of Kinshasa.
