David and Paula currently serve as Assembly of God World Missionaries to Latin America and the Caribbean. David works with AGWM in the Personnel and Family Life Department. This is the office that is responsible for Missionary Kids, School of Missions, Candidate application, and Member Care. he feels very fortunate to serve in the part of the organization that responds to the needs of hurting missionaries and their families, as this was the department that helped him after the death of his first wife.
Paula serves on the HIV/AIDS Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. In the Caribbean the prevalence rates are so high that it has become the second most affected region in the world. When we understand that 230 people die every day from AIDS in this area we are motivated to try to reach out and minister to those affected by this dreaded disease and offer the hope of the Gospel. Paula travels throughout the region working with the National Church in HIV/AIDS Awareness and Response Education to try and stop the spread of HIV/AIDS. Our materials teach Biblical principles of abstinence and faithfulness in marriage, educate about how HIVAIDS is spread, and include the gospel message.
